The Miami Hurricanes. A program once known for developing under the radar and home grown talent has turned into a program that is taking on misfits and kids that couldn’t cut it at other major programs.
After a very lack luster Spring Camp and Spring Game, it seems the desperate Hail Mary attempts by Manny Diaz will continue. I understand what he's doing. He's trying to field a decent product to avoid getting embarrassed on August 24th.
Manny has said he’s not done with the portal and will be looking to add more bodies before Fall Camp. I once said, "Manny Diaz was Willie Taggart with a sombrero." But, at this point that’s disrespectful to even Willie Taggart.
I don’t think there’s any team in the entire country that's more desperate and thirsty as a program. That said, building hype and fake confidence is fairly easy to do considering the fact that Miami's fan base is the most delusional in the nation.
The program can be a complete shit show and all it takes is a chain to distract those people. Manny has another one up his sleeve. An offensive chain should distract the fans from the fact of how much talent they currently lack on that side of the ball.
As a Florida fan, I have never had the privilege of seeing two shit shows make the Gator head coaching job such a cake walk in state. But, I see it now and it sure is a hell of a lot of fun.
