Here I am again, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Just prior to pulling up Microsoft Word and writing this piece, I set up and customized my Big 3 Roll Up forum account. As I scrolled through potential profile pictures looking to fully capture my manufactured internet persona, it dawned on me… I’ve truly been sucked back in yet again. Incredible.

I’ve been a member of the infamous Gator Gang forum, I’ve had active accounts with GatorCounty, I may or may not have piggybacked off of various 247 accounts for the freeskie, etcetera, etcetera. I can’t escape the phenomena of the internet sports forum. It is time I accept my addiction.

What is it about the forum format that draws us super-fans in? The answer is simple: the ability to connect with a bunch of like-minded individuals and create your own content. We love forums because they provide an audience of people who care about the topics you yourself care about. Instead of reading articles and having the discussion dictated to you, you can actually create your own content and discuss with people who actually understand what the hell you’re talking about. Shit’s pretty cool when you think about it.

So what is the Big 3 Roll Up forum going to look like? Well, if us members are generally like-minded (I say generally because quite frankly the Noles can go to hell), we all “get the show.” Let’s have fun with it, I can assure you all that I’ll have fun with my writing. I’m no Newberg. I’ve never really done this “journalism” thing before. Screw it, I love football in this state, so I’m going to put lies on paper and we can all bullshit about it.

So raise your glass to our addiction that is less physically harmful than most, and lets have fun talking about the greatest sub-set of college football in the country

Will there be coffee and donuts served with the ever lasting lies that will be displayed?

I was told there would be punch and pie.

I’m more of a coffee/donuts guy myself. First poster wins.

I'm not sure we want Vari serving any food that's not prepared by a corporation. Donuts and coffee it is!

Let’s go Vari. As long as nobody in your family is making greens.
